DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Camp Curly LA 2025! Get ready for a fun-filled week of activities\, workshops\, and bonding with fellow curly-haired individuals. Join us at the Liberty Community Plaza starting on Monday\, June 23/Wednesday\, June 25/Friday/June 27 at 09:00 AM-3PM. This in-person event will be a great opportunity to embrace your natural curls\, learn new styling techniques\, and connect with others who share your curly hair struggles and triumphs. Don’t miss out on this exciting event! \n\n\n\n\nCamp Curly is a full day experience for young girls to grow their confidence in their own hair maintenance\, STEAM career and activity exploration while building their self esteem. \nThree age ranges: \nBantu Knots 6-8 \nAfro Puffs 9-11 \nFrohawks 12-15 \nCamp day begins at 9 AM-3:00 PM (early drop off available on limited basis) \nEach day there are rotations and sessions highlighting how Hair\, Beauty and STEAM are connected. \nSpecific time to create and explore in multiple spaces: \nCurly STEAM Lab \nCurly Salon \nCurly Store \nCurly Classroom \n*Campers can purchase a Stay Curly Commandment Kit which includes: \nTshirt\, Detangle tool\, Water Bottle\, Hair Spray Bottle\, and other items supporting their week of activities! \nA few activities include: \nLearning how hair porosity impacts the health of hair and what to do with products \nIdentifying curl pattern/texture/density/ \nMake flax seed hair gel \nMake hair refresher \nDNA extraction \nDIY Makeup Activities \nPresentations from guest speakers \n2-5 Hair maintenance techniques \n*Donations are greatly appreciated for each day of attending Camp Curly LA a suggestion of $150 total for all three days. \nRegister: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/camp-curly-la-tickets
